After what seems like a hundred consecutive mini-series, Venom: Finale promises to wrap the whole thing up for good. At the conclusion of Venom: License to Kill, the government has discovered—to nobody else’s surprise—that Venom is simply too dangerous to handle. After drugging him and shooting him full of dopamine (which prevents Eddie Brock from morphing into Venom), they drag him over to yet another high security cell while they ponder what to do with him. Eventually, the decision is made to activate the thermite bomb implanted in his chest.

But of course, the drugs they’ve given him to prevent rejection of the device in the first place negate the dopamine that keeps him docile. He escapes, runs amok, and once again is hunted by everyone—including Spider-Man. But Marvel promises that this will be the last time…
