Uncanny Tales (2nd Series)

For this 1973 title, Marvel dug up tales from the original Uncanny Tales series of twenty years earlier. Each issue included several dark, ironic stories which covered all the usual bases: hermits working on strange inventions, intrigue in the jungles of Africa, and the ever-present monster in the basement.

Uncanny Tales came during something of a monster/horror title glut in the 1970s. Like most such titles, it died a rather early death—in this case after just twelve issues.
