The G.I. Joes are a group of heroes who fight to save the world from the menace of COBRA. Each is a master in a given specialty, from explosives to heavy weaponry. Operating from basis around the world, they are ever vigilant, looking to stop the evil plans of COBRA Commander and his hired henchmen.

Originally a line of dolls (err…make that “action figures”), the Joes proved amazingly popular in both their television cartoon show and in the Marvel comic G.I. Joe, a Real American Hero. Tales of G.I. Joe debuted in 1988 and reprints the first fifteen issues of that comic.
