Computer graphics try to give this mature readers-aimed spin-off of Iron Man the futuristic, high-tech look and feel of its subject matter. Millionaire Tony Stark, Iron Man, invented the armored battle suit War Machine. Wearing War Machine himself, Stark and his buddy Jim Rhodes – fitted with a War Machine, too – succeeded in overthrowing the tyrant Dr. Doom. However, Stark’s War Machine designs were copied by the espionage agency S.H.I.E.L.D. for their own purposes, even having Rhodes wear one of the suits for them. After Stark finds out, he plans on an attack against S.H.I.E.L.D. and Rhodes.
