Tales of Suspense (Vol. 2)
(Marvel, 1995)
™ and ©1995 Marvel Entertainment Group, Inc.
Marvel Comics revived one of its most important titles in 1995 with this one-shot, ultra-deluxe special. The original Tales of Suspense began as a monster comic before the introduction, with issue #39, of new hero Iron Man. He was later joined by Captain America after the red, white, and blue hero was revived in The Avengers #4. After that, Tales of Suspense became a double-feature of Iron Man and Captain America stories until after issue #99. With that issue, Tales of Suspense concluded and the two heroes received their own solo titles.
In this one-shot revival, both Iron Man and Captain America are sent on the trail of a terrorist organization known as D.A.N.T.E. which threatens to use Stark technology to assassinate the head of a Japanese trade delegation.
