From the pages of Uncanny X-Men comes the intergalactic group of space pirates known as the Starjammers. The pirates are only one of this series’ stars, though: the worlds and alien lives they come into contact with share center stage here. Political intrigue, betrayal, and murder are common on these worlds, so much so that the life of an intergalactic pirate seems almost honorable in comparison. At least the Starjammers are up–front about their profession and its goals.

This series wisely develops characters both within the adventurous group of pirates and from those they encounter in their travels. It’s sharply written by Kevin Anderson and drawn by Ale Garza and Sean Parsons.
