Tarzan of the Apes

After pirates strand Lord Greystoke and his new bride in Africa, disaster strikes. However, fate saves the life of their infant son when he is adopted by an ape mother named Kala.

Raised amongst the apes, the boy Tarzan wonders why he is so different from his animal companions. Why is he hairless and ugly like Histah the snake?

This two-issue limited series adapts the story of Edgar Rice Burroughs’s Tarzan, from the circumstances of his birth and childhood, through to the day when he becomes king of the apes. During that time, he will discover his parent’s cabin, face wild beasts, and ultimately learn what it means to be a man.
