Eagle is perhaps the most influential title in modern British comics. The weekly tabloid-sized anthology was geared towards children. Eagle was read by millions of kids in the U.K. during the 50s and 60s, influencing acclaimed writers such as Alan Moore and Grant Morrison. The anthology featured a variety of serials like the classic sci-fi series Dan Dare and numerous articles about sports, nature, and cars, anything that would appeal to British youths of the time. Eagle took full advantage of the anthology format, venturing into a multitude of genres in every issue.
