“First Impressions” introduces an alien combat robot that arrives on Earth with hopes of finding safe refuge, even if it’s only temporary. Despite her mechanical nature, this interstellar traveler possesses great intelligence, and even ‘human’ emotions, and she soon finds herself involved with a young girl and her father, saving them both from the enemies of his mysterious past. Of course, the threat posed by these thugs is nothing compared to the invaders that devastated the robot’s homeworld.

The backup story, “3 to Infinity,” follows the adventures of Jak Raven, a futuristic soldier who discovers that the dangerous alien animals he’s assigned to exterminate are really sentient life forms. He manages a transfer to another branch of service, but his hopes of getting ‘lost in space’ are put on hold when he finds himself caught in the middle of an alien rebellion.
