Cable TV
(Parody, 1993)
Published by Parody Press! a division of Express Publications, Inc. Stories and art ©1993 their respective creators.
Poor Cable TV! Even though Lizard magazine rated him the most popular comic book character of December, 1992, he’s the only one in the top ten not to have his own comic title. After a sufficiently mysterious period of brooding, he sets off across the space/time continuum to rectify the situation. Instead of getting his own book, however, he winds up an unwilling guest star in just about everybody else’s. He bounces from Quantum Creep episodes to fighting off Aliens who want to steal his Pez. From there he jousts with Judge Bread, bops pint-sized Predators, and tangles with a Terminator who reminds him, “I may not have skin…but I DO have my own series!”
This one-shot starring the head of X-Farce is a terrifically funny takeoff on Marvel’s Cable and X-Force titles.
