The Redeemer is an extraordinarily earnest effort at bringing the word of God to comic readers, recasting the tale of creation as a super-heroic struggle between the forces of God and Satan.

Created, written, and illustrated by Dale McNeil, it’s one of four titles published under the Images & Reality line. Others were The Interceptor, The Liberator, and The Church. Although the artwork and writing are of fan quality at best, it’s hard not to respect the sincerity of the presentation.
