Night of the Living Dead: Barbara’s Zombie Chronicles

Picking up some time after George Romero’s classic horror film, Night of the Living Dead, this series from Dead Dog Comics finds our heroine Barbara working with a rag–tag group of zombie–fighters in the hope of eradicating the threat of the undead, who have infected over half of the world’s population. A bit heavy on exposition, the first issue recaps the film and fills in the gap between the film and current goings–on, often with a large number of text–heavy captions and word balloons. Still, the tale is fun with an intriguing back story straight out of popular culture.
