The Books of Magic is the ongoing monthly continuation of the tale that began in the Books of Magic mini-series. That series, written by Sandman’s Neil Gaiman, told of how John Constantine (Hellblazer), Doctor Occult, Mister E and the Phantom Stranger introduced a young boy named Timothy Hunter to the mystical realm. Timothy had the potential to become the world’s most powerful mage—if that is what he decided to be. In the end, however, he could not help but become involved in magic, having been shown its all-too-real presence in our world.

Today, Timothy is still a shy boy, but is growing ever more used to having strange things happen to him. In this series he will encounter beings from the realm of the Faerie, grow more familiar with the powers of magic that literally flow through him and discover—to his great surprise— that his true parents are not the ones he spent so many dull days with in London…
