Cult Television
(Zone, 1992)
™ and ©1992 Rankin Studios
Writer Jay Allen Sanford, who later penned various issues of Carnal Comics’, True Stories of Adult Film Stars, began his career with a less infamous subject. Cult Television contains capsule overviews of many science fiction and supernatural shows from the nascent days of television. Shows as famous as The Adventures of Superman and as obscure as The Magic Vault are listed with pithy comments from Sanford.
The Outer Limits is prominently featured, with small descriptions of each episode of its two-season run as well as an illustrated story detailing the trials and travails that writer/director/producer Leslie Stevens endured trying to produce a quality program while dealing with network executives and censors.
— George Haberberger
