Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade

The Holy Grail, purported to be the chalice Christ used at the Last Supper, has been the subject of myth and folklore for two thousand years. The Bible gives no information, but legend has it that after the crucifixion, Joseph of Arimethea took the chalice to Roman outposts in ancient England. Centuries later the grail was entrusted to the knights of King Arthur as related in the “Le Morte D’Arthur,” by Sir Thomas Malory. In the third Indiana Jones movie, the story of this holy relic is perpetuated, this time in a story written by George Lucas featuring everyone’s favorite archeologist and his father.

Indiana Jones’ father has been a lifelong grail enthusiast, so when he disappears just as he was closing in on its location, Indiana is understandably concerned. When it appears that the Nazis are also seeking the grail, Indy finds himself in a race against the Third Reich to recover the grail and his father.

This Marvel adaptation is written by David Michelenie, who also adapted Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom, and drawn by Brett Blevins.
