This three-issue limited series resurrects Jack Kirby’s 1980s Pacific Comics offering, Captain Victory and the Galactic Rangers, in, sadly, somewhat murky black-and-white. Blonde and barrel-chested (like all the Kirby heroes) with a broad, beaming smile, the good Captain is the leader of an spacefaring troop of peacekeepers who seek out and fight against the threat of evil throughout the known universe. Bombastic and sprawling, Captain Victory and the Galactic Rangers is classic Kirby; it’s easy to see why he’s “the King.”
