Karma Incorporated

    (Viper, 2005-2007)
™ and ©2005 David Hopkins and Viper Comics

Karma Inc. will ruin your day. Hopefully not your day, but if you’ve made someone unhappy recently, watch out. This outfit of con men and hackers hires itself out to anyone ready to see someone else take it on the chin. By parlaying vast skills in mechanics, electronics and finance into minor mayhem and personal catastrophe, Karma Inc. make it all look like a terrible coincidence.

This line of work takes a toll on the folks at Karma Inc. who struggle with their own issues and inner demons as they go about their business. The brisk pace of this three issue series sometimes feels a little rushed as writer David Hopkins attempts to delve into the lives and motivations of his five leading saboteurs. Tom Kurzanski’s coarse, jagged lines get a boost from Marlena Hall’s rich coloring to give the book strong visual appeal.
