A three-issue series, Diatom is the story of good and evil in a world split in two. One portion of the world was Halcyon, a dominion of light where the inhabitants lived forever thanks to the waters of a crystal spring. When the spring became spoiled, Halcyon’s inhabitants began dying, and in desperation the leaders turned to the dark world Skuld for help. Halcyon was to send its two best people to this domain of evil and plead for the remedy, which only Queen Salacia of Skuld possessed. But Salacia had other plans for this couple—plans for corrupting these “good” creatures, and for fulfilling a terrible prophesy that would merge her world of night with the peaceful Halcyon.

Although campy enough for any science-fiction comic, Diatom is actually a fumetti title, using photographs and artwork to tell its story.
