Archie Comics was the second publishing company to print a series based on the Turtles. This series allowed a younger audience to experience the Turtles. Unfortunately, the company also had an adverse affect on the true nature of the Turtles as it promoted a false image of cuteness and intended only for children. The original Turtles were much more violent and adult-oriented than this incarnation.
