X-O Manowar (Vol. 2)

In medieval times, a suit of armor was primarily a defensive weapon. In the early 1960s, Marvel’s Iron Man accentuated the offensive capabilities of armor with the addition of repulsor rays and various missile firing mechanisms. Since then, armor-clad heroes have proliferated.

The X-O Manowar armor was supposedly captured from the Nazis fifty years ago, but its secrets were unfathomable until Donovan Wylie, a computer genius, was hired by the government to study it. Rand Banion, who wears the armor, is a fearless war hero whose heroic and selfless attitude make him the ideal subject to be bonded to the armor. Together he and the armor are X-O Manowar, though the relationship between the man and his armor is not completely harmonious.
