Lobo Paramilitary Christmas Special
(DC, 1991)
™ and ©1991 DC Comics
It’s Lobo against Santa in this 1991 special. Written by Keith Giffen and Alan Grant, it’s a high body-count way to welcome in the holidays.
It seems that the Easter Bunny (along with various other holiday representatives) are tired of being overshadowed by Christmas. Accordingly, they commission a hit on the Jolly Red Elf—Santa Claus himself. Lobo, who never did get what he wanted for Christmas, is only too happy to take on the job. What results is a bloody showdown full of mutilated elves, reindeer-launched warheads, and a to-the-death shiv fight between Lobo and Santa Claus. Funny? Yes. But definitely not for younger readers.
