Does the average person have what it takes to be a hero? If suddenly given powers and a flashy costume, would the average man or woman rise to the occasion, and realize their heroic destiny? Welcome to Neopolis, where everyone, from the sweet old lady next door to the hooker on the corner, has a power, a costume, and a code-name. Most of them just want to live so-called normal lives, but there are always a few who feel the need to make trouble.

As you may imagine, the members of the Neopolis PD face some very unique situations, especially when they, the suspects, and the victims all have one or more special abilities. Creators Alan Moore (of Watchman fame) and Gene Ha make this fantasy town realistic, with three-dimensional characters and gritty dialog that many readers find reminiscent of TV police drama, “Homicide: Life on the Streets.”
