Hawkeye (2nd Series)

Clint Barton is the master bowman known as Hawkeye. Although he first appeared as a villain, he reformed and became a member of the Avengers. In time, he became leader of the West Coast Avengers and married Bobbi Morse a.k.a. Mockingbird. Life, it seemed, was going well.

Then, in the historic Avengers West Coast #100, Bobbi died. Now Hawkeye is a bitter man trying to put his life back together. He went to the Canadian Rockies to escape civilization, but even here he finds trouble. He stumbles upon a compound belonging to the Secret Empire, an organization of scientific terrorists. They were searching for some kind of escaped man-animal they had apparently created. Hawkeye came to its rescue, thus becoming a target himself. In this limited series Hawkeye must battle the Secret Empire, his own mental trauma, and maybe the greatest challenge of all, the man who trained him—Trickshot!
