It is a time of wonders. The evil queen Bavmorda has been using her black magic and the power of her Nockmaar Guards to gain control over the surrounding countryside. Armies fell before her, but it was prophesied that a baby would be born which would lead to her undoing.

When the child, Elora Danan, came into the world, Bavmorda tried to have her killed, but a midwife spirited the girl away and set her adrift in a stream. Later she would be found by a kindly dwarf named Willow, who had hopes of becoming a magician. Instead, he was forced to become the baby’s guardian, eventually joining forces with a motley crew of pixies and a mad swordsman. These adventurers risked all to keep the baby from harm, and led her to fulfill her destiny.

Willow was a 1988 motion picture from Lucasfilm, adapted to comics in this three-issue mini-series.
