Halloween Megazine

    (Marvel, 1996)
™ and ©1996 Marvel Characters, Inc.

The Tomb of Dracula was one of the great horror comics of the 1970s. Its secret was the long-running team-up of artist Gene Colan and writer Marv Wolfman. Colan’s art was perfect for the series. He was a master at using shadows to illustrate, while giving the art a sinister tone. Wolfman proved adept at terrifying readers while bringing new subtlety to the legendary vampire Dracula, as well as to those who stalked him.

This 1996 reprint “megazine” was a perfect Halloween treat for horror comic fans. It reprinted some of the greatest issues of Tomb of Dracula, including the origin of Blade, the Vampire Slayer.
