Dane McGowan is a smart kid given to running with a bad crowd and hurling Molotov cocktails through the windows of the school library. At school, his teacher counseled him that he needn’t be a loser, that if he wanted he could really make something of his life. But Dane already knew what he wanted. He wanted to take on the world.

That is exactly the quality that led King Mob, leader of the Invisibles to recruit him. The Invisibles are the ultimate secret society: employing magic and technology to support subversion in all its forms. They show Dane a world that lies beneath the surface of our own, where shadowy forces conspire to control man’s destiny. He learns many secrets—as well as what really happens when you die…

The Invisibles was created by Grant Morrison, a writer known for his genre–expanding work on titles like Animal Man and Doom Patrol (2nd Series).
