The Galactic Guardians live in an alternate timeline some 2,000 years from now. In their version of history, the world became the victim of anti-mutant hysteria in the late 20th century, leading to a mutant slaughter at the hands of the Sentinels. Magneto and his followers decided to flee to the stars, while others stayed behind. Those who stayed were wiped out by a Martian invasion. Others eventually arrived on a world they called Haven, humanity’s new home.

Years later, on a world controlled by Mainframe, a latter-day incarnation of the Vision, something is wrong. Mainframe has been having mysterious power failures, threatening the entire world. At the same time, he has discovered clues that suggest the Martian invasion was sponsored by an outside force. In this 4-issue mini-series, the Galactic Guardians are reunited with age-old Avenger Wonder Man on a mission to solve this deadly mystery.
