Seven Soldiers: Shining Knight

Grant Morrison tackles one of DC’s older characters in The Shining Knight and reimagines his story and his place in the DC universe—with a flair that makes this new version one to follow.

When an alien race comes to destroy Camelot, one knight, Justin, takes the fight to them at their castle, but this castle is unlike any seen before. Accompanied by his flying and talking horse, Justin finds The Inexhaustible Cauldron, which he believes will allow him to turn the tide of battle. After tossing the cauldron into a pool of liquid to destroy it, Justin and his steed find no other way to escape than to follow the sinking cauldron into the depths. When they explode out of the bottom of the floating castle, they fall headfirst into modern Los Angeles and straight into a world of trouble.

This Shining Knight is an interesting new character, and his adventures in the modern world and his search to get home will make the rest of this mini-series enjoyable to read.
