How Sluggo Survives
(Kitchen Sink, 1989)
™ and © Kitchen Sink Press, Inc.
Fantagraphics Books produced a five volume series of selected strips from the Nancy and the Fritzi Ritz comic strips, with this second one focusing on Nancy’s perennial playmate from the wrong side of the tracks, Sluggo. Though he appeared tough, Sluggo was generally good natured and took his cracked and torn plaster walls of his home in stride. All of the strips in this collections are by Ernie Bushmiller and are chosen primarily from the classic years of Nancy originally published between 1944 and 1959.
