Reads right to left; b&w

In a future in which monsters and demons rule and humans are a minority, cat-girl Natsuki bounty hunts for a private police force. So does her partner Sakura, a female demon fox who wants to eat her to absorb her magic so she can grow out the last of her nine tails. Attempts at hilarity ensue.

Unsuspecting, kind-hearted Natsuki invites homeless Sakura to be her roommate, and soon they fall into a routine. By day, they bust beasts (ranging from the wonderfully grotesque to the whimsical—particularly a Disney–like mushroom wanted on drug charges), and by night Sakura tries to devour Natsuki without rousing her legion of protective cats. Though, after inadvertently getting a “taste” of her, readers get the feeling Sakura might want her partner for more than an entrée.

Here’s a premise we haven’t seen before, done up in a nicely sketchy art style that ably handles both the monsters and cute girls. And, while it certainly takes a while to get going, there’s rude fun to be had.
