At the end of a doomed rescue mission witnessed in the movie Aliens, the few survivors have set their craft on a course toward Earth. They have entombed themselves in the cold embrace of hypersleep, awaiting their eventual arrival. But something, has gone tragically wrong with the ship’s guidance system. The ship crashes on a desolate planet housing a penal colony. When the ship is retrieved, the only survivors are Lieutenant Ripley…and an unseen fellow passenger.

In investigating the ship’s records, Ripley finds the horrible cause of the crash: a nascent Alien had been aboard the ship all along, and now it’s loose in the colony. Trapped on a planet with no weapons, where her only allies are murderers and rapists, Ripley must fight the alien killers once again. But Ripley, who has discovered an even greater terror living within her, knows that whether or not she can stop this Alien, this battle will be her last.
