Daredevil: Father

The lives of many of Marvel’s greatest heroes were shaped by the influence of a single person. For Matt Murdock, that person was his father, Battlin’ Jack Murdock. Today, as both lawyer and superhero, he honors his father’s memory by working to clean up the Hell’s Kitchen neighborhood where he grew up. When a case with ties stretching back to his childhood walks in his door, he begins to think more about that relationship than ever before.

Written and drawn by Joe Quesada, this miniseries features a Daredevil both haunted by his past and—as depicted in a unique, powerful style by Quesada—big enough to face it.

Joe Quesada, editor-in-chief of Marvel Comics, returned to his creator roots with this miniseries that he wrote and drew. The book also marked Quesada’s return to the character that gave him his greatest success and was a contributing factor in his promotion to the top position at Marvel. As the title would indicate, the story touches upon the relationships between sons and fathers and there are few superheroes that have been more influenced by their father than Matt Murdock.
