The newest drama club member is a dazzling actress, ready to steal any show, but only a select few know Makoto’s greatest acting accomplishment: she is really a he. If he can successfully pose as a female until high school graduation, his disapproving father will allow him to pursue his lifelong dream of acting. The one person entrusted with this secret is Ito, a tomboy who is usually assigned male roles in the drama club’s performances. But are they best friends or something more? Gender lines are blurred as an unlikely romance brews between the two leading “ladies,” and they struggle to maintain Makoto’s charade.
