The Inhumans: The Great Refuge
(Marvel, 1995)
™ and ©1995 Marvel Entertainment Group
The warlike Kree race was all but destroyed when the Nega-Bomb vaporized Hala, their homeworld, at the conclusion of Operation: Galactic Storm. As this special edition begins, the few surviving Kree are desperately searching for a homeworld, and believe they have found it on the Blue Area of the moon. Built by the Kree in generations past, this area is the home to The Inhumans, themselves originally a Kree experiment in genetics. For generations, the Kree sought only to enslave or kill the Inhumans. Now, however, they come pleading for refuge.
With obvious parallels to the Palestinian/Israeli plight in the Mideast, The Great Refuge asks whether two races which have always harbored nothing but hate and distrust, can come to live in peace, as neighbors.
