In this intriguing tale, the archangel Adriel becomes involved in the destiny of an abandoned child, protecting him from the cruelty of the natural world around him, as well as a demon from Adriel’s past. Unfortunately, Adriel’s efforts to save the boy lead to a human death, and the fallen angel Lucifer takes advantage of the situation and leads Adriel on a personal tour of Hell, insisting that the archangel has been abandoned by a cold, cruel God. As Adriel struggles to come to terms with his relationship with the Almighty, he struggles to reunite his charge with the mother who misses him.
