M.D. Geist: Ground Zero
(CPM, 1996)
©1996 CPM Comics. Original version ©1986 Nippon Columbia Corp.
Planet Jerra is about to become a battleground. President Nexrum, the planet’s ruler, has declared it an independent world, angering the Earth government. To stop Nexrum, the Earth governments created the MDS program—“Most Dangerous Soldier.” These were genetically enhanced soldiers whose abilities were far beyond those of ordinary humans. The first such soldier was codenamed MDS-02, “Geist.”
Ground Zero is the prequel to the popular M.D. Geist animated series. In it, Geists’s creators send him on his first big mission to fight Nexrum’s forces, single-handedly battling gigantic robots and armored combat machines. Geist is a human killing machine, a weapon of war. And although the Earth government was reluctant to try him in battle, he was simply too dangerous to be anywhere else but fighting the enemy.
