The Crusaders

The previous incarnation of the Crusaders: the Shield, Firefly, Black Witch, Doc Strong, and Captain Commando fought crime until 1963, when a disastrous mission caused them to disband. That mission ended with the team forced to place a good friend in cryogenic suspension in a heavily guarded bunker. For if he ever escaped, the world would be gravely endangered.

Thirty years later, a man impersonating the Shield of the modern era drew a new group of heroes to the old bunker. There, the Jaguar, the Shield, the Fly, the Comet, the Black Hood, and agents of the Web would be drawn together as the new Crusaders—to fight a foe the original Crusaders had thought stopped for good.
