The Empire, an oppressive dictatorship lead by Empress Shion, is the law. And only a small handful of rebels stand in the Empire’s path to absolute control. Mian Toris, an android warrior woman along with her “pets,” the human Wataru and the money grubbing blob Babo, travel across a futuristic landscape in order to end the Empire’s grasp on their world. But is Mian’s motivation for battling the Empire as pure as she has led everyone to believe? Or does she hold a dark secret of her own?

Caravan Kidd was created by manga artist and writer Johji Manabe and translated by Dark Horse Comics. In addition to Caravan Kidd, Manabe is also known for his popular Outlanders series. With its large cast of archetypical characters, exaggerated artistic style, humor, and political satire, Caravan Kidd is characteristic of the popular manga genre.
