Total Eclipse: The Seraphim Objective
(Eclipse, 1988)
™ and ©1988 the respective creators and Eclipse Comics
This spinoff from the already crazy Total Eclipse series teams the misfit super-heroes of the Liberty Project: Golden Age-style heroes Airboy and Valkyrie, the shambling monster called the Heap, and the ghoulish Misery. Their collective goal is to stop an immortal called Zzed from seizing a magical gemstone from an Aztec temple. With it, Zzed (with the help of his dupes the Seraphim) hopes to destroy the universe. This, Zzed thought, was the only way he could end his own existence.
It’s all mad fun, featuring a script by Astro City’s Kurt Busiek.
