The Adventures of Spider-Man is the companion book to the animated television series. The title features a simpler art style and stories that are less dark and complicated. Peter Parker is still living with Aunt May instead of being a clone and married to Mary Jane, which makes this title a non-continuity book. The lower price (only $0.99 at a time when the average comic price was climbing over $2.00) and concise storytelling make this an inviting comic for readers who are familiar only with the character from television.
