Beau Smith and Jim Callahan’s DethGrip features a bitchin’ freelancer with big muscles and firearms. Gene Ha’s fine artwork graces Todd Johnson’s Shelter, a supersecret agency of superspecialists laced with conspiracy-theory overtones. Fans of artist Neal Adams will have fun identifying panels that artist Larry Stroman swiped in illustrating Johnson’s Tribe, about an outside-the-law armored mercenary. Brian McDonald and Brian O’Connell offer credible storytelling and distinctive artwork for the final feature, W, another jumpsuit-wearing, gun-toting private security expert.
