Marvel Monsters: Monsters on the Prowl

Where did all the monsters, once predominant in the Marvel Universe, go? According to this title, most of them were captured by the Collector, preserved forever in his museum. Unfortunately, a confrontation with the Mole Man proves too much for the Collector’s facilities to handle, and suddenly Groot, Taboo, Grogg, and many other creatures walk the streets of New York once more. The problem is left to other monsters—including the Thing, the Hulk, and monstrous heroes like the Beast and Giant-Man—to solve, with the only way they know how: brute power.

This fun-filled one-shot, part of the “Marvel Monsters Group” event, is a return to a simpler time in the Marvel Universe. Steve Niles and Duncan Fegredo channel Stan Lee and Jack Kirby to the best of their ability.
