October 31st, All Hallow’s Eve, is a night when the forces of evil gain ascendancy over the powers of good. As a holiday, Halloween is a time of costumes and parties, and imaginary monsters. But many make-believe creatures are based on legends, and sometimes legends are based on fact.

An unexplained power outage has blacked out the entire eastern seaboard, turning an ordinary night into a frightening world of darkness. A mysterious figure called Knightmare prowls the darkened streets, observing some of the other beings who fight against the demons of the night. Avengelyne, an angel exiled to earth, confronts a real demon and her own mortality. A young Catholic Priest is troubled by the nighttime activities of a violent vigilante, without realizing the killer is a part of his own schizophrenic psyche. And a technologically enhanced ninja known as Cybrid confronts a shadow from the past, and the ultimate test of his training.
