Marvel Legacy: The 1980s Handbook

    (Marvel)
™ and ©2006 Marvel Characters, Inc.

Revisiting the decade of headbands and leg warmers, the latest Marvel Legacy takes a detailed look at some of the characters in action at that time. Published as if the entries were written at the end of 1989, each character profile presents what was known about each hero or villain of that era. Of course, it is helpful to have the “Where Are They Now?” feature at the back of the book, which covers what has since happened to characters who are still active. Not meant to be all-inclusive, the book features a fairly wide variety of big guns, minor characters and in-betweeners. Although there was a lot to like at Marvel during the ‘80s, this is a fun glance back at some of the company’s goofier ideas, such as U.S.1, the New Universe, and Thor the Thunder Frog.
