Marvel Legacy: The 1990s Handbook

The 1990s were a turbulent time for the Marvel Universe. Peter Parker was replaced by his clone as Spider-Man. Tony Stark died and a teenage version of Tony took over as Iron Man. A woman replaced Frank Castle as the Punisher. And Onslaught rampaged through New York. Fans who might want to revisit this eventful period without digging through back issues can check out this entry in the Official Handbook of the Marvel Universe. This special issue offers profiles of both major and minor figures in an attempt to capture the flavor of the times. Since the book deals strictly with events and characters that popped up during the decade, the character histories don’t deal with events after December 31, 1999, although text on the inside back cover points fans to what happened to characters in the years following.
