Deadline USA is a collection of reprints from the UK’s frenetic Deadline magazine. It’s a dark, offbeat collection of work from some of the best underground comics creators in the business. The stories cover a vast range—from “Nailboss”: a true-crime look at the meat-packing trade, to the “Tortilla Baby”: a strange creature who was wrapped in a tortilla shell and given to a stranger to care for.

Weird, eclectic, and sometimes beyond the pale, “Prescription Strength” Deadline USA is strong medicine for those suffering from boredom with the standard super-hero fare.
