Doctor Strange and Doctor Doom: Triumph and Torment

The ancient mystic known as the aged Genghis was called upon every one hundred years to fulfill a sacred duty. He was to summon the world’s most powerful mystics together for an audience with the eternal Vishanti. Then would begin a contest to decide which of these mortals would become Sorcerer Supreme. Once that mage was found, a boon would be granted.

The American sorcerer Doctor Strange and the Latverian super-villain Doctor Doom found themselves the only mages standing when the contest was finished. Strange was the ultimate victor and, as such, regained the title Sorcerer Supreme. The boon, however, was to be granted by Strange to the other person left: Doctor Doom.

Given the chance to receive anything, what did Doom ask for? Nothing much: just for Strange to accompany him into hell itself to fight for the soul of Doom’s mother!
