Sigma
(Image, 1996)
™ and ©1998 Aegis Entertainment, Inc.
“Fire from Heaven” ran through three months’ worth of Wildstorm comics, including WildC.A.T.s, Gen13, and Deathblow, and had a heavy-duty mission: revealing the origins of the Gen-Factor that first gave super-powers to Team 7, and then to their children, Gen13. In the middle of all this, we have a young college student named Ethan McCain who wants little more than to get into a fraternity and date a gorgeous redhead. Unfortunately, in a dystopian future, he will be the super-powered Sigma and will oppose the ambitious plans of Damocles, a scientist who wants to restore the glory of his world by robbing the life-energy of others. To stop the threat of Sigma, Damocles sends his agent, the Sword, into the past to kill Ethan McCain just as his Gen-Factor powers are activating. A pretty exciting Rush Week, eh?…and a well-done crossover series from Wildstorm as well.
