Hey Look! (Harvey Kurtzman’s…)

    (Kitchen Sink, 1992)
™ and ©1992 Harvey Kurtzman

Before he became famous as the creator of Mad, Two-Fisted Tales, and Frontline Combat, Harvey Kurtzman made a living selling one-page cartoons called “Hey Look!” These brief gag strips were mostly published in obscure publications such as Joker or Jennie, although a few made it into the early Marvel and Timely publications such as Millie the Model and Patsy Walker.

The “Hey Look!” cartoons are collected for the first time here in this 1992 Kitchen Sink volume. It’s a great showcase for the idiosyncratic, inspired, and groundbreaking talent of one of comics’ most influential creators.
