This cine–manga version of Disney’s successful animated feature from 1992 includes illustration taken from the film itself and a slightly re–worked script that shifts the narrative focus to Princess Jasmine. The independent–minded princess has three days to find a husband but she cannot abide the suitors picked by her father the Sultan. Jasmine escapes from the castle and meets the noble young thief Aladdin. Romance and conflict ensue as the two must foil the wicked plans of the sorcerous Jafar who wants to take over the kingdom and they get help from a boisterous genie.
